Now I don’t feel like I was acting out of character or dressing in a manner not befitting to my persona, however I was dressed in a manner that I hadn’t in a long time. I don’t have a name for it but check out the wardrobe.

Its my sentiment that the media in America doesn’t do a good job in showing the varying faces of Black people in America. They would have you believe there were only two types of Blacks that exist in this country. Those that have obtained the ultimate American Dream and those that have a more difficult time obtaining the American Dream.

Successful Black women less likely to get married

And there’s the rub. As noted in a recent Sexploration column, contrary to old media reports, most educated, professional women who want to marry can and do marry. But the picture is less bright for high-achieving black women because “marriage markets” for them have deteriorated to the point that many remain unmarried, the researchers found.
